Halo Custom Guitars Expands Selection of Baritone Guitars

Halo’s New Baritone Guitars are Handcrafted by Expert Builders.

Cupertino, CA (Vocus/PRWEB) March 26, 2011

Halo Custom Guitars serves musicians worldwide and has expanded its offering of baritone guitars. The addition of twenty new models provides discerning guitar players more features and higher performance compared to existing choices on the market today.

The expanded offering of baritone guitars was driven by strong consumer demand and shifting trends in modern heavy metal music. “For 2010, Halo’s top selling models were from Baritone and Extended Range categories,” stated Jeff Lee, General Manager with Halo Custom Guitars. “Baritone and extended range guitars are like regular guitars, except they play lower notes and sometimes higher notes, or both. Heavy metal music is primarily electric guitar-driven and that makes it necessary for heavy metal guitarists to use high performance electric guitars like Halo’s. Modern heavy metal music tends to be played in lower tunings, which is something standard guitars were not designed to do.”

Halo Custom Guitars’ new baritone guitar models are designed to play in lower tunings and are available in electric and acoustic versions. Halo baritone guitars are equipped with advanced components, which offer similar or better performance than many higher priced instruments.

“It’s exciting to be part of Halo Custom Guitars as they are growing and their products are differentiated from what you would find in most guitar stores,” stated Alvin Gatewood, Halo’s Quality Control Manager and long time guitar player. “There are not enough professional options available when it comes to baritone guitars. Halo’s new baritone guitars utilize Neck-Through-Body Construction, which is an advanced guitar building method that produces better sound and stability. With Neck-Through-Body Construction, the guitar’s neck runs through the entire length of the instrument. This construction method produces an instrument with superior resonance and sustain by making the neck a component of the instruments body, rather than an attached extension of the body, as is found in other construction methods. Halo baritone guitars incorporate many professional features and with factory direct prices – it’s a win-win situation.”

“In addition to offering one of the largest selections of baritone guitars, Halo Custom Guitars also offers a comprehensive build-to-order service through the Halo Custom Shop,” stated Bruce Lee, Halo’s Sales Director. “The Halo Custom Shop specializes in building guitars according to customer-supplied specifications. The result is our customers receive professional instruments tailored to their exact needs.”

Halo Custom Guitars Brings Mass Customization to the Guitar World

Halo Custom Guitars Brings Mass Customization to the Guitar World

Halo Quality Control Manager, Alvin Gatewood, Handpicked this Particular Piece of Solid Cocobolo Wood for its Choice Grain Pattern, Moisture Content, and Density.

(Vocus/PRWEB) April 05, 2011

Halo Custom Guitars pushes mass customization into the guitar world by offering build-to-order musical instruments through the Halo Custom Shop. Now, in addition to offering a full line of electric guitar and bass products, the Halo Custom Shop will offer customization in three key dimensions: size, style, and functionality.

Halo Custom Guitars’ build-to-order production methods are aligned with growing trends of personalization and customization in consumer products. “The reality is that every guitar player demands a different set of specific needs from their guitar,” stated Bruce Lee, Sales Director with Halo Custom Guitars. “No single guitar can satisfy the enormous diversity of guitar players in the world. Instead of trying to push a ready-made guitar onto customers, we invite them to be a part of the design process so they get exactly what they need.” The Halo Custom Shop emphasizes three key dimensions of customization – size, style, and functionality.

Like many consumer products, the electric guitar is not a “one-size-fits-all” product. Individuals have different body sizes, tastes, and preferences. These differences create problems for individuals seeking the best guitar for their needs. “By offering customizable sizes and styles of guitars, guitar players are no longer forced to adapt to their instrument. Instead, the instrument is designed to fit their body and its movements, which not only maximizes performance but also reduces potential injury or muscle strain,” stated Alvin Gatewood, Quality Control Manager for Halo Custom Guitars. “Customers have the choice of woods, materials, features and functionality. As a result, the Halo Custom Shop is busy fulfilling a broad range of orders from relatively simple designs to cutting-edge, computer-interfacing guitars and basses.”

“It’s exciting to be part of Halo Custom Guitars as they are really taking custom guitar building to another level,” stated Jeff Lee, Halo’s General Manager. “The concept of custom made guitars is not new. The difference is in how the Halo Custom Shop streamlines the process. The Halo Custom Shop combines factory-like, mass production techniques with the flexibility of customization to offer highly customized guitars both quickly and affordably. This is in stark contrast to commissioning a luthier (an individual who builds guitars) to produce a similar instrument. Luthiers face many constraints, which often results in custom guitars being too expensive and time consuming for average consumers. The Halo Custom Shop is here to change that”.

New England Guitar Festival a Celebration of the Guitar

New England Guitar Festival a Celebration of the Guitar

Mount Vernon, Iowa (PRWEB) June 18, 2007

Premier Guitar Shows kicks off its series of regional guitar festivals with New England Guitar Festival, September 15 and 16. Held at Boston’s Bayside Expo Center, the New England Guitar Festival is expected to host as many as 150 guitar, amp, and accessory manufacturers and dealers. More than 10,000 guitar players, collectors, guitar retailers and enthusiasts are expected for this weekend-long event.

The festival will also feature top-name entertainment and a series of attendee workshops and seminars conducted by professional musicians, but also by noted music educators and teachers associated with TrueFire, the leading guitar education software publisher and comprehensive online resource for musician-centric content. (http://www.truefire.com)

Premier Guitar Shows president Kevin Kopec explains that these weekend festivals fill a void between flea markets and large, national guitar shows. “The entire concept is built on providing a meaningful show experience for guitar players of all capabilities and interests. The New England Guitar Festival will be a multifaceted experience, complete with dealer and manufacturer exhibits, instruction, and entertainment. It is truly a celebration of the guitar.”

Attendees will get a chance to celebrate guitar music with a planned All Star Guitar Night, which will feature an evening of exciting performances from well-known, well-respected guitarists.

Vintage and collectible guitars are a key ingredient of the New England Guitar Festival. Guitar enthusiasts of all levels – from players who simply realize the value of a great guitar, to experienced collectors actively searching for specific items to complete their collections – will have the opportunity to indulge their wishes.

“The guitar is an iconic invention that keeps growing in value,” Kopec explains. “Some guitars that cost $ 200 in the 1950s and 1960s can now be worth hundreds of thousands of dollars. That is why we encourage the general public to attend the festival with an older guitar to sell or trade. You never know what that dusty, rusty heirloom could be worth until a dealer evaluates it for collector potential.”

When older guitars are detailed and restored with vintage parts, the value can literally explode in value. “It doesn’t happen often, but when it does, you have to be there to witness this experience.”

Premier Guitar Shows has scheduled two other venues for 2007, and two for 2008.

Premier Guitar Shows LLC is the events division of Gearhead Communications, publisher of Premier Guitar magazine. The show division capitalizes on a unique and powerful connection between the company’s publication, its online portal (http://www.premierguitar.com) and its association with TrueFire.

One additional way that Premier Guitar Shows distinguishes itself from one-day flea markets is with its unique, online show registration. Dealers of new, used, and vintage guitars can register online at http://www.premierguitarshows.com and choose their booth location, size, and any enhancements they desire. This can be done for any of Premier Guitar Shows Guitar Festivals.

The magazine provides gearheads with the resources to help them evolve into better artists and, ultimately, to develop and to improve their tone. The magazine, published by Gearhead Communications, is based in Cedar Rapids and in Fort Dodge, Iowa and is read monthly by more than 90,000 people. The Company’s online portal, http://www.premierguitar.com, serves more than 400,000 visitors each month that read and, in many cases, print that month’s entire issue of Premier Guitar via its unique page turning software. The portal also offers, via its Gear Search function, viewers the opportunity to search an interactive database of more than 17,000 pieces of gear.
